Level 1

Level 1 is developed to train students to draw simple subjects by following a given example on a separate page on the workbook. After lesson 6 the students will be asked to draw both the subject and background. The themes or ideas for the backgrounds are in a separate reference guidebook.

In cases where younger students find it hard to draw from the sample drawings, the teacher should give them a trial exercise on a separate piece of paper or on the white board (e.g. drawing circles for lesson 1).The teachers should instruct the students to make the drawings bigger.

Students who are capable of outlining the subjects based on the samples should straightaway outline their drawing on the blank page of the workbook.

A single subject is given for each level. The students must develop the entire drawing from the given subject and by listening to the story.

The student needs to apply what he learned fro previous levels such as composition, logical thinking, balancing the background and foreground, coloring and comprehension.
